I found out about this site from Ed Burchard. Thanks to Ed and also to Gordy for making this happen. Perhaps it will put a few of us in touch with some of our old buds from those days. I am still looking for Seagull (Frank Lowell), Rolly Herring, Lamar Sowell, Don Hunt, Morris Cunningham, Jonesy and Barker from the missle shop, just to name a few. Marty

Nice site. The pictures of the Jolly Green brought back memories. I flew the one in your pictures (plus a few other one's). Air refueling was no picnic. Check out the TLC Botherhood web page at http://www.tlc-brotherhood.org Maybe you will find a few friends. Thanks for the memories.....Woody R. Freeman, TSgt. USAF Ret. On hie ID was the name Doan. Pronounced Dong. I thought it might be because of the French, but I can find no French conection in my family tree. Must just have been the english translation. With Mike McFarland we helped build the bomb dump preload area. In March/April they moved the bomb dump guys from Gunfighter Village to new buildings across the flight line and in April ’69 they sent a bunch of us TDY to Kunsan, Korea. We stayed in country for 62 lovely days and were sent back to Nam. There was no room for us in DaNang and I along with Mike and some others were sent to Tuy Hoa. The base was located on the ocean – my hooch was right on the beach. I was on the fuse crew feeding F100’s – after DaNang it was like a vacation. Went stateside and was made an ape with a small detachment outside Atlantic City, NJ. Discharged Dec. 1971.

I am the unofficial ammo troop locator for the 366 MMS. As of this month (5/03), I have 245 names listed in my data base from guys from the 366 MMS at DaNang. Still, there are a lot of guys with NO e-mail address, or even a computer! Please contact me if you need to find someone that was in the 46 or 31 fields with the 366 MMS at DaNang AB, Vietnam. Keep up the good work Gordon! We need this site and memories... Thanks, Bruce W. Taylor

Don't remember many people but would like to hear from other's who worked the flight line during this time. I have some 8mm movies of the bomb dump going off but don't know how I would post them here. I remember China Beach!

Here's a couple of memories for you: "Flash" on the 36 crew. "Blind Man" setting the fuses for the '54's. Signing in as "guests" to eat the best food we ever had in RVN at that small Army mess hall. (Maybe we didn't tell all of you about that!) Cliff "Bud" Jackson and I extended our tours and went to Tuy Hoa for 6 months. That was a vacation after Danang. If we have a reunion I won't attend unless, when a liquor bottle is emptied, we shake the hell out of it with our thumb over the opening, and then see how many times we can get it to flame.

Web site has 1969 pictures along with shots of reunions with Dan Foss, DW Valentine and also Mike Jenkins
